The Probus Club of Guildford is one of around 1500 such clubs around the country the main aim of which is to allow retired professionals and businesmen to meet for purely social purposes.

We meet for lunch once a month at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Guildford. These lunches are the main opportunities to socialize and get to know other members and are followed by guest speakers talking on a subject of general interest. Members may invite guests to our Spring and Christmas lunches and any visits to places of interest and short holidays that are arranged during the course of the year. Golf and bowls matches are also organised from time to time. While we hope members will attend our lunches regularly the extent to which a member participates in the club's activities is entirely up to the individual.

The club is not a charitable organization but the club does make a small donation each year to a charity chosen by the retiring chairman.

There is a modest annual membership fee of £25.

If you think you might like to join us please email our secretary and a member of the committee will get back to you to discuss your membership.
